Hi, I am Ümit Aslan.
I am a PhD candidate in Learning Sciences at the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. I primarily conduct studies on how people intuitively reason about complex systems. In addition, I develop agent-based models of scientific phenomena, I design code-first learning environments for students to learn science by coding, and I use a computational flavor of qualitative data analysis to analyze textual and video data that I collect in my research implementations.
